Our Antibody Profile Defined/Specific Pathogen Free (APD/SPF) Marshall CatTM domestic shorthair models are the leading feline model in the animal health and biomedical industries. The colony was originally established in 1975 by Liberty Research, and acquired by Marshall in 2018. Our cats are raised in a complete barrier and are available completely unvaccinated and free of various feline pathogens.They are ideal for developing new veterinary medicines and vaccines for pet cats.
The colony is routinely monitored for the following feline pathogens with no antibody titers present:
Feline Herpesvirus (Rhinotracheitis)
Feline Calicivirus
Feline Panleukopenia
Coronavirus
The colony has also been historically negative for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, Feline Chlamydia and Toxoplasmosis.
Marshall CatTM models are also available vaccinated against FHV (Rhinotracheitis), Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia.
